Anti Wrinkle Muscle Relaxant

Injectable muscle relaxants are used to treat dynamic wrinkles and work by relaxing the wrinkle-causing muscles that cause people to frown or squint, creating an improved appearance.  Once the muscle is relaxed, you cannot forcefully contract it and continue to make the undesirable facial expression. Thus, the cosmetic injections gradually smooth wrinkles and prevent wrinkles worsening. After facial injection it takes 2 to 3 days for the treatment to begin taking effect and around 7 days to see the full effect. Treatment effects can last up to 4 months.

The product used is often confused with the toxin itself, when in fact it is a purified protein that has been refined into a medication.

Injectable muscle relaxant can also be used at the lip border to help evert the lips. Injected into the corner of the mouth will stop unwanted marionette lines from forming or worsening. Another use is that it can also be used in the massetters (jaw muscle) to reshape the lower face and therefore feminising females with a square jaw line.

Lasers and IPL

The Laser Genesis procedure utilises non-invasive laser technology to safely, discretely and effectively treat fine-line wrinkles, diffuse excessive redness and help manage large pores, uneven skin texture, and scars.

Other options with Laser for lines and wrinkles include ablative laser (Pearl Fractional) which often requires a longer downtime however the results are more pronounced.

LED Light Therapy

Lines and Wrinkles can also be reduced with the use of Red Light Therapy (wavelength 630nm-640nm) that penetrates human tissue superficially, with approximately 80% of the energy being absorbed in the first 2cm. Red light energy has a significant effect on mitochondrial stimulation, which increases the production of ATP and in turn boosts fibroblast activity. This leads to an increase in cellular turnover, superficial circulation, and an anti-inflammatory emission.  By increasing the collagen in the skin the skin rejuvenates and becomes plumper therefore reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
